Half of my IPhone 5 broken.
I dropped my Iphone 5 and the left hand of the screen isn't responding to touch and its dark, the glass is cracked but I was wondering what exactly is wrong with it like what parts may be messed up.

I bought an iPhone 5 six months ago from Roger's Wireless and I also paid for the application of a screen protector, for a long time both of these worked very well and I had no problems. The other day I put my iPhone into my locker at work and came back a few hours later to find that two spots had appeared on the display. One was near the top of the screen and it looked like a dis-colored splotch while the other one, that was near the bottom of the screen, looked like someone tried to scratch the screen with a dull object . When I turn off the display and examined the outside of the phone there is no scratches or any other physical damage to the phone, I think it may have something to do with the LCD screen. Also, my locker was locked so I know no one was fooling around with it although humidity or something could have played a factor but I'm not entirely sure. The spots are relatively small but pretty annoying, before this my iPhone was in perfect shape . I'm not sure if I am covered by the one year warranty because my phone may have water damage (although I am not sure). I remember a few months back dropping it into a deep pile of snow and when I took it out it was pretty wet, but still continuted to work perfectly find. Regardless, I'm pretty sure thats accident caused the water damage indicators in my phone to be set off . I looked all over the internet and there is different ways of taking off the actual LCD screen and replacing it yourself but I think I would much rather get this done by a professional. I have also heard that the spots may go away eventually. I am not sure if I am going to send my phone in right away but any help at all would be awesome. Thanks!
Should I take off back protector on my iPhone 5
Just when I got my 5, my carrier provided me with a back protector. I was going to buy a case from the store but they were poor-quality generic ones sold at a extremely overpriced price. Instead, I ordered a case from Amazon that was estimated to deliver on Thursday this week. Should I take it off? It is really starting to tick me off and has some visible bubbles but I am afraid I might scratch the aluminum.
4S-No sound from speaker no mic no vibration doesn't detect headphones iPhone 4
Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iPhone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all. So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iPhone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged Audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? Broken flex cable?

My Iphone 5 been having trouble connecting to a cellular network. The tech I spoke to said that my problem was covered under warranty, and I made arrangments to mail it off. Of course I would drop it and the back glass around the camera cracked. Does this void any type of repair that I was going to recieve?

iphone 4s internet not working. my phone have singnal while using. on the left top corner have the display of "4G" and i can text or phone to someone. but i can't use my internet. it is all fine since this morning. when i tried a web page, it goes slower than before. after 1 hour, the internet totaly can't be used.my wifi part couldn't be used either. but it began at december 2012. and i don't usually use the wifi. so i didn't pay attention to it. wifi part is sometime good sometime bad. mostly after i restar it, the wifi can be used for 1 or 2 muniutes. i was not sure whether or not is the problem of att. but other members of my family plan are all fine at internet.which part of phone would be the problem? especially for the hard ware parts. i think there would be some problems in hardware. i always drop my phone unintentionally.

Battery losing it's mind iPhone 4S
Hello, my wife's iPhone 4S seems to be losing its mind. It will show 60% battery then less than an hour later its down to 1%. Now, ordinarily I would say this is just a battery incapable of holding a charge, but it seems like this might be something else. When we plug the phone in, it almost instantly will jump to 20-30% charged. We've tried doing a full wipe/restore through iTunes, but that resulted in no changes. I'd take it to the Apple Store and ask for a battery repair (really, just a swap for a different refurb I assume) and pay the $80. However, looking online it sounds like Apple wont do this for any phones showing signs of damage. This makes sense, since they dont want people just swapping out busted phones for pristine refurbs. Well, the wife's phone has a single hairline crack in the front glass. It happened shortly after purchase and has never impacted performance. We didnt have the foresight to purchase accidental damage protection coverage... Its a small crack and my wife didnt want to hassle with trying to send it in for repair. Sure wish we had now... Not sure what to do at this point. Suggestions? Thanks Eric

This is absolutely ridiculous. I've gone through 5 iPhone 5's so far and they've ALL had hardware problems. What is happening with Apple quality conrol? I'm going to need a fifth replacement for my iPhone 5 for the same problem that I've had on 2 out of the 4 replacements I've gotten in the past. First iPhone 5 lasted me at least 4 months before the lock button started failing on me and degrading each day. Now I've gone through a new iPhone every day this week and they've all had something wrong with them.

I recently bought a new iPhone 4s from Virgin mobile, and have cracked the back glass. I purchased the warranty that covers broken glass and cracked screens and whatnot, but my boyfirend knows how to change the glass professionally, and it would be less of a hassle for him to do it then for apple to send me a whole new phone. But, if he does change the back glass out, will this void the warranty I paid for? Also, if I do get a new phone from apple, lets say that one breaks too, would they replace it again if it was within the year? Thanks!

So my iphone randomly drained to 1% when i came back from school, and i could just charge it and it would be alright, even tough the battery displayed 1%, i could still use it throughout the day. I've had this problem for the third time now. The other times i got this problem i just let my iPhone drain untill it was dead, and then waited for a day or so, and then charged it again and it would turn on. But this time it won't work and i can't seem to get it on again and i really need my phone! Since the iphone displays a battery when it's off or drained, i've always tought that there's some battery percentage left to display the image of the battery. So i tried waiting 1 week to see if it dissapeared or not, but it wouldn't. Whenever i put the cellphone in the charger, it displays the battery as if it's charging, but no matter how long i let it charge, it wont turn on! Does anyone have a solution? Could someone explain why the iphone battery percentage sometimes goed randomly to 1%? did i do something for this to happen?

Hi, I purchased my iphone 5 in April 2013. I have dropped it down twice since and each time there have been slight damages to the phone. There is a visible dent at bottom right corner (happened 1.5 months ago) and the display is slightly chipped on the top left near the volume control buttons (happened 15 days ago). Im now having issues with my battery and need to take it to an apple store. If incase there is a major problem and there needs to be a repalcement would Apple refuse to do the same because of the physical damages to my phone? My battery was excellent until now. I usually can manage for 24 hrs without recharge under normal usage (wi-fi on. whatsapp frequently. a couple of hrs over the phone). I havent had any major issues with my battery until a couple days ago. When i leave my phone at !00% charge without any apps running in the background, through the night (8 hrs) the battery drops down to 56%. Normally i wake up to a 95% - 92% battery. As far as i can remember this has been my recent activity. * I updated my software (6.1.4) a week ago without any issues with the battery. * I downloaded facebook Messenger and updated Genius Scan. Both have been deleted now, since i doubted these to be the possible culprits.* I have even deleted Facebook.* I have tried Force shut down. Switched off my my phone multiple times. have kept it off for about 15 minutes after power off. * Location services have been disabled for all apps except Google maps.* Notifications mostly banners and sounds diabled for almost all functions. I cannot seem to figure out why my phone is suddenly acting funny! Please help. Thanks.

Recently a customer came in to replace his broken glass on his Iphone 5. I replaced the LCD + Digitizer assembly with a new one. The new screen was working properly except the camera shutter would not open. I removed the new screen to see if i accidentally disconnected the camera, but everything seemed to be ok. When i put the assembly back on, i no longer got any image or display on my new screen. It was just blank. The back light turns on, but no display at all. The power is on and iTunes recognizes the phone. I have done several screen replacements for the Iphone 5 before and this is the first time i have had this problem. Nothing seems to work....I have tried 3 different new screens and all had the same issue. I did a hard reset and same issue. I did a restore via iTunes and same issue. I would think that the parts i had were bad, but i tested them on another phone and they worked fine. I'm so puzzled. Can anyone suggest anything new for me to try?

I bought my iPhone 4S from the Apple store for £500 last September. Last week it fell from my pocket onto a tiled flooring and the external glass (but not the LCD screen) was damaged, making it difficult to use. I booked an appointment with a Genius and went to that yesterday, where they replaced my iPhone for £139. I briefly mentioned my warranty but the assistant wasn't very attentive and I'm not sure if he even acknowleged that. So I paid £139 and got a brand new iPhone. I have now read online that £139 is the 'out-of-warranty' charge for a replacement and that Apple give replacements (only once) to each of their customers if their product is within warranty.Was I charged incorrectly?

Yesterday i detected: When I pinch the top right corner of my iPhone 5, the screen creaks down a bit making a annoying noise. I live in Russia. And my friends made me a present (They bought this iphone in LA Apple Store on Winter Holidays).The problem is that there is no Apple Stores or genius bars in Russia, but only Resellers.How can i solve this problem? Friend of mine had a replacement of MacBook charger via Apple Support, they asked him to come to Russian Authorised Apple reseller and get new charger. But iPhone... Could Apple, for example, call to Authorised Reseller and ask to replace my iphone5 because of hardware issue or repair my device? So, as you guys know from earlier, I dropped my phone and it wouldn't respond, right? Well On Saturday I took my puppy on her second walk around the neighborhood and she kept jumping on me and I had my headphones plugged in my phone, adn her paw got caught in the wire and pulled my phone down and it fell on the road. I went back to my house to tell my parents and we eventually got the glass repaced and it works just fine now. But before we got it replaced I remember I plugged my phone in and I saved my photos (like I usually do when I plug it into my laptop) and having the screen black but still being able to touch it,I freaked and thought I had to back it up. (I have a password and couldn't because I couldn't see the numbers) Since I gotit back, my photos dissappeared, but all my apps, contacts (ect.) were still there. So I searched up how to get photos back, and I did, but it doesn't show in my camera roll, (I had to sync them from my laptop to my phone) it shows up as photo library. I can't delete them from there and the only way I can is put them in an album but they're still there in the photo library. I just want my photos back in my camere roll and photo stream. Thanks guys.

iPhone 5 battery phone suddelny switches of at 15
Hi people, I have an iPhone 5 64 GB and of course all the newest software. In the recent days, it happened twice to me that the phone would suddenly switch of at around 13-15% battery! When I try to turn it on immedietaley, i will get the "empty battery"-symbol. However, after waiting for some 20-30 minutes, when i turn it on again, it will just work and display a battery of around 13-15% again. Very strange. Never had this behaviour at iPhone 4 or 4s Any ideas? thanks

Having Paid about £20 for an official unlocking, I am being told to insert a Non-Orange 3G Sim card into the phone that is to be unlocked (Orange is the network the iPhone iscurrently locked to). I understand, that I should pay for it, but there is no any official support of apple in my country (Georgia).What can I do? Crashing and screen flickering problems. iPhone 4
I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iPhone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iPhone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iPhone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!

hi guys. i can see this is a common issue. i have heard a few different reasons about why this is happening. either it's the autofocus mechanism or the vibrate motor.whatever the reason, this should not be happening on a £600 piece of hardware. the quality control at apple is not what it used to be and when they are rushing to manufacture millions of devices to tight deadlines in china then this is a problem that was going to happen sooner or later.i am of the opinion that this is a fault with possibly more than 50% of all iphones manufactured to date and apple needs to do a product recall. it seems that they have told staff to not admit this as a fault to try and avoid just that.i got a replacement and it arrived, the rattle was slightly less noticable but definitely still there. i just ordered another replacement and will continue to keep doing so until i get a device that doesn't rattle.before anyone says that this is normal and it is SUPPOSED to rattle, that is BS. i have been to the apple store in brighton and tried the display models and even tried a few they had in the back after speaking with a staff member. out of the 12 phones i went through, 2 didnt rattle AT ALL. Now you tell me if that is normal and people should just put up with the substandard product that apple has churned out this time. I say NO, and the more people that actually make a stand, the quicker apple will be forced to spend some of their $600B on fixing this issue.
