Camera problem with iPhone 5

I purchased my iPhone 5 in January 2013 in India. For past couple of months, my phone camera dies frequently. The first time it happenned, I update the phone with iOS 6.1.3 and it started working. next time when Camera was not working then I reset the phone and it started working, Now, I have the same problem, when I open the camera, shutter does not open and I am not able to click any picture. Does anyone has a similar problem with their iPhone 5? I never had this problem with my iPhone 3GS. Please reply. Thanks,-Upanshu

Sms new compose sms already have text in it iPhone 5

Iphone 5 / factory unlocked / USA purchase..  Whenever i compose a new message (SMS), i already have a text (one of the previous sms that i hv sent to someone) there in the message box. I have tried resending the same to myself and other numbers and it gets delivered aswell. But what is annoying is everytime i have to compose a new message and click on icon on top right corner in message app to create a new sms// i have the text alrdy in my typing box and have to select all and delete it.  And when i click on any previous conversations with my contacts and reply them this problem does not exist. This is only when i click new message compose icon or have to start a new conversation with someone. To me it seems as if some kinda signature is added in SMS but i couldnt find any option for the same. Please advice !!

iPhone 5's POWER BUTTON got compressed.

I bought an iPhone 5 last month, for starters, i didn't notice that the Power Button was compressed as in its still working but just, it doesn't have the 'button click' feel like a normal iPhone. Recently my friend bought an iPhone too, when i compared our iPhones, i found out that his iPhone's Power Button has a 'pop up' feel where mine is compressed. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and the place i bought it in Johor. Can i know whether can i get a repair or replacement for it? Who should i contact to do so? Note: i bought it in a small DIGI shop in Johor. And, i heard that iPhones bought in small retail shops cannot be replaced/repair/etc.

Cant install apps iPhone 3G

Okay, so I wanted to install vine (an app) but I can't. The reason why is because the free button (the app is free) is faded out so I can't download it. I tries so many different things but still I can't install certain apps. When I try to click on the button nothing happens. Because its faded so I can't use it.

SearchOpen text messages using Spotlight or Messages App iPhone 3G

This is my issue. I have been using the messages app and spotlight to search keywords and/or phrases in old text messages.  Scenario: Using the search bar in the messages app, I lookup Mac. It returns 2 results. I click the message I want to view and it opens the most recent message in thread. So I tried using Spotlight. Granted, it returns more results (about 6,7), but when I click the message to finish reading it, again, it opens the most recent message in the thread. Is there an app that actually searches messages and lets you view the message?

How to reinstall Safari in my iphone as I deleted it by mistake

iPhone 5 Warranty Question

Hey guys, my iPhone 5 was bought in December at Bestbuy. I just made an appointment at the Genius Bar and I wanted to ask some questions about the one year warranty included with the phone. My phone had been working fine for the past six months and it's never been treated harshly ( I've always kept a good case on it and a screen protector ) however yesterday my lock button stopped working... whenever I click it the phone does not respond to it. The phone is basically new when taken out of the case and the only reasonable explanation for this, in my opinion is a defect of manufacture that recently showed up. I'm wondering what will apple do when I take my phone in? Will they replace it for another? Attempt to fix it? Will any charges be present? And what should I bring just incase they decide to replace it ( ex. headphones, charger?)  Thank you.

Problems with iPhone 5 home buttonnetwork connections

I have an iPhone 5 16GB for AT&T and I've had problems with the phone's home button (not recognizing my click) and issues with wifi connections on multiple networks. The phone is obviously still under warranty, but I have a dilemma. The iPhone has a small crack in the upper right hand corner of the phone. This happened a few months ago, it doesn't come close to the screen or anything, but I'm wondering if Apple will refuse to swap my phone because of this. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I just downloaded the Find my iPhone app to my Windows 7 PC.  Where did it go and how do I launch it to locate my iPhone 4?  I see the file Find iPhone 2.0.2.ipa in my Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications directory but nothing happens when I double click it.

iTunes won t download music to iPhone 4

When I buy a song on my iTunes throught my iPhone 4 it shows its downloading then goes to finish and says: unable to download this song, could not be downloaded at this time then let's me either select retry or done, I click retry and it comes up with the same message, and this is every single song I try to download not a few ALL of them... Every week for the last month I have tried to get it to work and it won't, I even checked my usage on my phone and I still have 3G space

hey there, so i bought my iphone on April 5th and it was working fine up until 2 days ago, my phone started glitching and shutting off by itself. Today it shows up with the input cord on the bottom of the screen and an arrow pointing to the itunes symbol at the top of the screen. When i plug my iphone into the computer it says it needs to be restored, i click "restore iphone", it then loads well but when it makes the final load to turn my phone on, it crashes and says "the iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured" what do i need to do to fix my iphone??????

Twice frontal glass broken on Iphone 5

Hello, I'm an "old" user of Iphone ... 3S, 4, 5 .... on this last one for two times I've broken the frontal glass... never happened with older models Honestly in the first time I have nothing to say because unfortunately my phone fell down bumping the frontal glass on a small stone (from an height of about 1 meter from my pants pocket) and the glass has broken  .... but in the second case it fallen down on the back face on a plate surface always from an height of 1 meter and in this second situation my phone was also protected a little bit in a gum cover  I choose again APPLE product and especially this model without considering equivalent models of other competitors also for roughness (saw a lot of demo video on the web) but I'm very disappointed from the reality .... I payed twice (220 Euro each time) the replacement with 2 new phone becuse glass broken ae not under guarantee but for this second situation I don't agree with the policy of APPLE and I espect from them at least a commercial action to me because this second payed replacement is absolutely unaccetable .... Roberto (Italy)

how to delete pics showed up after sync iPhone 4S

after getting a new iPhone 4s I did a sync with my computer to get my contacts and pics back on my phone. after the sync, there are pics on my phone I want to delete but I can't delete them. Some of the pics were never on my phone but were on my computer. There is no trash barrel or any options to be able to delete them when I click on them.

How I restore my Outlook calendar after it got deleted when I synchronized it with my iphone

I synchronized my iPhone with iTunes and my Outlook calendar.  By doing so, I deleted all of my Outlook calendar events in Outlook and on my iPhone.  How do I reverse that action?  I tried restoring my iPhone with the backup.  When I do this, my calendar events come back on my iPhone but as soon as I plug it into my computer, it syncs with iTunes and deletes everything all over again.  I have tried changing the sync settings to not sync the calendar but it still synchronizes and deletes everything.  PLEASE HELP!

Facebook App in Settings iPhone 3G

Hi there, I'm trying to remove the Facebook app from my iPhone5. I've held down the icon til it wiggles, pressed the X, deleted it. I've deleted it from my iTunes library. I've resynced my phone and it's not showing up and not mysteriously reinstalling on my phone (which it did a couple of times) which is great. I then go into my Settings folder on my phone, scroll down the bottom and find it there with Twitter. I click on it and it appears to be an install app for Facebook - Install, Learn More, Sign In etc....  How do I get rid of it completely? As in: I don't want anything Facebook on my phone. Nada. Zip. Zero. Nothing. No Facebook. Is this possible or is there now some deal whereby Facebook is now intrinsically tied with my iPhone5 and there's nothing to be done about it? I'm sorry if there's already been something about this but I really couldn't find it (or I didn't realise what I was looking at).  :- Cheers for the help.

Issues after 6.1.4 update iPhone 5

IS anyone else having issues after the 6.1.4 update? Here is what I have experienced in the last two days.  1- Unable to access a locked or secure network.  It asks for password initially.  When entered, it is unable to connect.  I restart and then go to Settings, find the network and click.  I never get a prompt for the password, just "Unable to Connect" 2-Bluetooth.    I can after a few attempts to connect my Bluetooth headphones, only after I get a "Failed attempt" a few times.  Then only music works, unable to make phone calls.  This happens with two different products.  A SENA SMH 10R and LG HBS 700.   3- Music play - I found this issue out when trying to figure out problem with Bluetooth.  I can start to play a song fine, but if I click on the ">>" or "<< "  it freaks the player out and then skips multiple songs or stops play and goes back to the playlist.  At first it was doing this with the Bluetooth headphones when using it to make selections.  So I deleted the devices and the iPhone continued to do it when selecting functions on the screen.  Some playlists did it and some don't.  Creating a new playlist did not help.  Additional Info.Apple Store replaced my iphone on Saturday 5.4.13 because if antina issues.  The issues above came after I restored from backup and updated the OS.  I have erased the phone 2 times since getting the new phone and restored from back up and rebuilt from Itunes and neither way makes a difference above. What is going ON?   Message was edited by: Karl Kroeker  Corrected Version update

LOST ALL MY CONTACTS AND CANT RESTORE FROM BACKUP HELP iPhone 4

HELP!!! I lost all my contacts for no reason, I was sending a text when my phone (with about 80% power) turned itself off, I turned it back on and all my contacts were gone! In my messages it was just numbers, no names. I went on itunes to restore from backup but it wont let me, nothing comes up. When I right click my device the only option is get is to back up, it wont let my restore from back up. The only thing I can do is restore to original settings but I want my contacts!!! Can someone help, I need all my contacts for work!!!!

aux connection to car no longer working wiPhone

I've been using my iPhone 4 connected to my 2010 Honda CRV via aux cable for a full year no pbs.  Yesterday, in the middle of a song, it just suddenly stopped.  The on/off click comes through, but no other audio (no iTunes, audio books, etc).  I thought it might have just been a bum cable, so I tried a new cable.  Nope.  So then thought it was my phone - but audio works fine w/headphones (and its own speakers).  Then I tried connecting the phone to my husband's 1997 Toyota FJ - and had the exact same problem.  So - two different cars (on which the aux connection has always worked with my iPhone 4), three different aux cables.  The weird thing is that the on/off click comes through on both car speakers when it's connected, just no other audio.  Oh, and I connected the phone to my CRV USB (which for some reason I'd never done before...) and it works just fine.  Even better sound quality than before.  But since my Husband and I often switch cars, and his doesn't have a USB port...would love to figure out what's going on so I can listen to my iPhone in his car.  Any suggestions on trouble shooting?

Compass don't allow true north iPhone 4S

Hi I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 The Compass app that comes with the OS will  allow me to display a heading in magnetic north but not in true north.  The true north option  is grayed out.  The magnetic heading displayed is accurate.  I have location services turned on and compass calibration turned on too. Compass displays my correct LAT & LON.  Magnetic and true north options working before. I tried powering the phone off and back on several times.Sometimes Compass allow me to select the true north option, but when i click done the app switches to magnetic north itself. Anyone have seen this?Tanks a lot.

No red bubble showing facebook notifications-help iPhone 3G

My Facebook application will only show I have a notification if I click into the app.  I should be able to see that there is a notification with a red bubble that has a number in the top right hand side of the app on the home page.  If not, it defeats the purpose of not having to click into the application to check for updates.

Using apps on iphone .

When i am using the facebook app, twitter, or intragram app, the apps will just close out on its own and i have to click the app again to get back in it. Is there any way i can stop this? Does any one else have this problem?

Facebook app disappeared and cannot retrieve iPhone 3G

I have an iPhone 4S, about a year now.  Yesterday I downloaded a Facebook update and went to sleep.  Wake up in morning and Facebook app is missing from phone.  It was on my front page, next to a blank spot, and now there are two blank spots in the bottom right of my front page.  Here is what I have tried: -Resetting phone (home+on/off button).  Reset 3-4 times, nothing.-Reinstalling app.  Looked up Facebook app in app store, and shows as being installed.  So there is an "Open" button where there would be an "Install" button if I did not yet have the app.  I click the "Open" button and it does nothing, like it's a dead button.-Searching for Facebook.  On the iOs "Search iPhone" bubble (swipe right on home screen) I search for Facebook.  Nothing shows up but contacts.-Synching on iTunes.  App doesn't show up on list, tried a synch, reset phone, nothing worked. I have 111 apps installed across 7 pages (with a few blank spots scattered across).  I do not and never had "Restrictions" enabled.  I have not changed any other settings anytime recently.  I have 4 gigs of free space on my phone. Any guidance here would be appreciated...thanks!

I've never had this issue with a previous model.  When I am outside and sunlight comes in contact with my screen. The sunlight will click things/type messages/scroll etc. It's not like I'm in heavy sunlight either. It's 50 degrees outside and it's still doing it. It happens too when I'm sitting in my car. There will be some light coming through the window and it causes it too. I'm told this is not normal and the phone is defective. Is this true? Also, if it is defective... How should I prove this to Apple when I make an appt.? I know when I get there they will say it is working fine and there is nothing they can do.... Thanks for the help in advance from anyone!

I am running Windows XP Media Center edition and I'm trying to copy videos larger than 500 MB to my PC. iPhone 5 screw messed up bit

Hi, Today after cleaning my iPhone I found that my pentelobe screw is messed up a little.I don't know what caused this. But still the form is little bit changed. iPhone 5 ios6 notification center Instagram and twitter notifications don t clear out after I click them

When I get a notification in the nc and I click on it, it opens the app but when I'm done, the notification still stays in the nc until I manually clear it out. Is there any way to fix this?

Iphone 4 IOS 6.1.3 multiple problems. need help

Dear Friends, I hope apple is looking into the posts by customers. I was browsing through the forum and found single threads of issues. I think I am facing all in one and look forward for people who are facing similar issues. I have a iphone 4 on AT&T. everything was working great till 6.0 & problems since I upgraded to 6.1. Since then it has been quite unstable. below are some of the issues I am facing... 1. Phone sometimes goes unresponsive or very slow response for some apps [ action took..cleared all apps restarted/rebooted..no use]2. The signal strength has considerably dropped from before and sometimes says no service. Before I had atleast some good signal strength near my home.3. The battery drain issue..sometimes I feel the battery on usage makes the phone go hot. 4. As soon I unplug from the power, the phone drops couple of %'s over 10 min even without usage or very slight usage.5. The worst of all..sometimes the phone access 3g even when there is WIFI..it takes sometime to realize there is wifi..but all the time I think is using 3G to start off or completely on 3g all the times. I restarted the phone couple of times but no luck. I never had this problem before 6.1.  If any one have solutions or geniuses on solving at the least the priority one's let me know. missing apps iPhone 3G

I have IOS 6.1.3 on my iPhone.  Many of my apps are not appearing on my home screens.  When I go to the App Store, I can search for the missing app, and it appears with the "Open" indicator.  If I click it, I get to the app, but it still does not appear on any homescreen.  I have logged out of the app store and back in, restored home screen.  How do I get my unseen apps to appear again?  They cannot be deleted to be reinstalled when I have open from app store. Thank you

iphone Facebook Push notification won t save when click

Can't receive Facebook notifications since push notifications won’t save in the Facebook app. Every time I click one it just refreshes and it reads in the yellow top bar “Changes Saved” but it unclicks the notifications I selected, any suggestions on how to fix this?

Iphone 5 64gb no more 3G only GPRS with SFR help

Good morning, I have an Iphone5, 2 weeks approx, worked perfectly till yesterday morning. Problem: Turned on yesterday and 3G was there, then I turn on WIFI all morning worked from home as usual. Turned of WIFI went to the garage (no more signal as is underground) out of the garage no more 3G, EDGE etc, only for brief moment (seconds) I did the following operations: Reset network 3 times, 3G back for couple of hourse as I loose signal the phone doesn't go back any more to 3G no GPRS etc Changed SIM 3G as above. Reset the phone as above. Now with 3G of from setting I only use 2G and this is working well, still 3G is missing in action, other people around me same carrier SFR don't have the same problem, any ideas?

I left the apple store fast due to the fact i was in a bad car accudent and i am in a wheelchair and cant stay seated like that long due to a broken leg. It randomly will pop up message saying something like it needs wifi but I have wifi at my house. It also pops up another message something like it needs to finish restoring it and asks if I want to download it all and I click on it it to but it goes away after that and nothing pops back up. I also can't install the new update it says I have I finish the retire then do it. My photo album is also stuck at whatever number of photos I have taken in the new phone that number of 300 something. It just says its downloading it. I have no clue what to do. Also my iCloud backup I looked and it says I have 2.2 gb left then that the  backup is 2.7 gb. I'm very confused what options I have and can't find an answer anywhere please help me!

Iphone 5 stop restoring.

My Iphone 5 is in recovery mode. It is stuck in a apple logo when i hold the home and Power button the itunes logo dont appear. When I plug it on itunes and click restore in the middle of restoring my iphone 5 stop restoring. How can i fix this?? Thankyou
