Do not buy Apple product in Belgium, there is no support!!! So, here it goes: Three day ago I bought an iPhone 5, at a Mobistar shop in Belgium. 700 euros. Unfortunaly, it has a defective screen, light bleeding at the top of the screen. So I went back to the shop, to get an exchange. But no, they refused. They have to send it back to Apple for repair. It will take three weeks. But I can't stay 3 weeks without a phone. And I can't just pop the sim card into an old phone, either: it's a micro-sim, and the iPhone is the only one who uses that... Except maybe if I buy another new, top of the line phone... And I don't have the money to do that... So I call Apple, directly: "Did you buy it on our website? Sorry, nothing we can do. You have to go through the operator." So basically, I am screwed. I have to keep the defective iPhone. Thank you Apple Belgium! Thank you Mobistar!

I have already an iPhone 5. I use it with more than 900+ contacts, 5 email accounts from different providers actively, many apps, and with all a real life companion sure however, I need a second to use with a different telephone operator. I would like to have all my apps, contacts, emails, and everything there, too, like a mirrored one. One is in my left pocket one is in my right pocket.. Is that possible? HD Voice not working although supported by operator iPhone 5

I upgraded from 3GS to 5 recently.My operator supports HD Voice calling.When I tried it from my iPhone 5 to any other phone which supports HD Voice, it was just regular call.In order to test we we in the same place several persons with HD Voice devices with the same operator.Between other devices it was OK.Putting others SIM cards into my phone didn't help. What else can I check? Any indicators, settings etc.?Is it iOS 6.1.3 which is installed or device itself?Wha could be done? Thanks for asnwering.

7 different faults-it hardware failure iPhone 4S

I've had my 4S since January 2012.  All was well for about a year, and then the fun began.1) When the weather got colder (Less than five or six degrees), the phone would suddenly claim to have a flat battery, and turned itself off.  Plugging in an external battery pack brought it back to life.  Taking it back inside a warm building would bring it back to life again.  2) About twice a month, it crashes, and wipes all my contacts/calendar data.  I started backing up to iCloud, so then it would restore from there, but muddle my contacts' photos up.3) It refuses to sync with iTunes.  It says there's not enough memory.  Sometimes on the phone, sometimes on my PC.4) At least once a day, it loses the ability to join any mobile network.  Turning it off and on again usually allows it to rejoin my network (T Mobile).5) Instead of T Mobile, it randomly likes to show my operator name as 000-0000.6) It helpfully closes all my Safari tabs if I minimise Safari and use another app.7) The GPS is failing, which is a real nuisance because I use Nike+ for my daily jog. T Mobile's tech help were not very much help as soon as they realised I'd had the phone for over a year, and was therefore no longer covered by their warranty.  They reckoned it was a hardware failure.  I've purchased Apple Care today, and booked a Genius Bar appointment for Friday.  Does anyone have experience of any of these problems?

Problem with onoffsleep button on iphone 5 bought in Dubai UAE from telecom operator DU.

I bought my iphone 5 from "du" official telecom operator in UAE dubai since almost 3 weeks with a two years data plan. The on/ off / sleep button started to have a problem, i have to press hard on it to operate it and there is no mechanical click sound. What shall i do in this case? There is no apple store in uae, only apple authorized sales shops. Can they replace the device? Or should du replace it?

Hardware error-iPhone 4S Incoming calls get occupied-when free

This happens for many, but not all contacts trying to call me: They are getting occupied tone/signal.  The iPhone does not ring or vibrate or turn on light upon incoming, but the "cold call" is registred in the log with time as "not answerd".  I have checked with the telcom operator - who claim everything to be OK with the sim-card and the network as a such. They recommended to turn the pone off and on again - with result no signigican improvement.I have lived with this error for some months - so it is not an incident.  Any idea of what the cause may be?

Personal Hotspot iPhone 4 disabled by previous GSM operator

My current operator allows and has included in my plan cellular internet tethering. (I had used their services on this device before as well). I have switched to another service provider (O2 - UK) at some point, and they have somehow disabled my personal hotspot option via a "Network Settings" message they have sent when I first switched over. Now I am back with my old GSM operator, but their support center does not know how to re-enable the option on my phone. The "Set Up Personal Hotspot" button in the "Cellular" tab is grayed out and cannot be used right now. I am already on 6.0.1 and cannot update the iOS. Tried resetting the Network settings several times - it does not work. I really do not want to revert back to factory settings - lots of things to lose.. I just thought I'd also ask here as well. (By the way I can insert my SIM to other devices and they can tether the internet, so the trouble is really in the device) I would appreciate any help.Thanks.

Hello!  January 8, 2013, I bought iPhone 5, being a tourist trip to the USA. Phone was bought without a contract with the operator for international use. Immediately after the purchase went to Russia. When you turn on the phone and activate it turned out that does not include no camera (either front or rear). When you contact an authorized service center for Apple (found via website Apple.com) I was denied warranty, based on the fact that Apple does not offer international warranty. Is this true? two Iphone 5 with factory defect right out of box

First black Iphone 5 bought the 16th of November right out of the box with a small scratch on the edge.the Apple store did not want to exchange it with a brand new one, only a refurb. Thoughts on battery life iPhone 5

I'd like to investigate and get your comments about the battery life issues introduced with iOS 5, which iOS 6 failed to fix, only making it worse with even more services that potentially cause problems. It seems this doesn't affect everybody and always. For instance, Apple engineers using AT&T in cupertino do not seem very concerned by the issue, but if you are on Orange, Switzerland, it's another story. From my understanding, big battery drops (~10% / hour) are related to the way iOS handles bad cellular network conditions. Often, the iPhone will "think" it has cellular data available (o/E/3G icons next to the operator) where it actually won't be able to reach the operator and never receive a response. In this case, iOS will leave the 3G chip powered for several minutes until a timeout occurs, even having the phone locked. If mail is fetched every 30 minutes like me, it makes 5 minutes of usage per 30 minutes, and should easily drain your battery in one day.(Note that this will also happen every time you use the calendar for example, if it's synchronized with iCloud.) So first problem: a timeout way too long. It's an usual, but still annoying thing with OS X. Second thing, as long as iOS doesn't realize that the push connection is invalid (i.e. it thinks it has network but will actually not be able to receive anything) it's ok. If a small drop or change in connectivity happens though, the connection will be reinited, and that's where things get very bad. The connection may fail at that point: 5 minutes of battery usage (~2% battery), but iOS will try to reopen it right afterwards. If connectivity is not properly restored, 5 more minutes lost, and so on. This is shown as usage when you go to Settings > General > Usage.Yes, my mother did not use her iPhone 4S a single time after charging it yesterday, yet it was dead at the end of the day with 3 hours 30 minutes of usage. This do not happen on Android devices like my father's Galaxy S, who uses the same operator. For people who have battery life issues, have you observed something like this on your iPhone too?

Issues with Siri iPhone 3G

I bought the 4s in mid June this year. After a good run for 2 weeks, Siri has stopped working on my phone - both via a 3G connection (Vodafone) as well as on Wi-Fi Whenever I log in Siri and give a command, the circle glows (in purple) about 40 times and after that the voice says" I am really sorry about this but I cannot be taking any request right now. Please try again in a little while" I have re-installed Siri 3 times, changed network operators (Airtel, Idea - in India and China Mobile - in China) to see if it is an operator issue but none have sufficed The team at the support centre (India) too have not been able to help me with this problemCan someone suggest any alternatives?   NL

iPhone 4S S problem

My iPhone 4S loses contact with SIM card and displays -NO SIM- where the operator logo usually resides. This has happened to me four times already since it first happend on June 15, 2012. I've gone to my local service provider (Globe Telecom) four times to report the incident. All they do is replace my SIM card everytime.  This fourth time, I managed to sway the conversation towards replacement of the unit. But according to the representative, it would take two weeks for them to replace the unit, leaving me with no phone in the mean time.  1. Has anybody else experienced this -NO SIM- occurance in this frequency?2. Is it standard Apple policy to take two weeks to replace a defective unit? Thanks and regards! Benny

Who refused to receive the device claiming that guarantee has expired 3 weeks ago. I requested fixing it on my expense but again they refused.Right now I am stuck, no one is accepting fixing the problem and the device is totally down. When i connected it to iTunes it showed me a message telling me that I should head to the nearest Apple store to fix this,Please advise me what I need to do. operator sold used iphone or repairman swapped my iphone iPhone 4S

I bought my brand new iphone 4S from 3HK (3 Telecom Hong Kong) on 16 April 2012 with 2 year phone service and 1 year warranty. The unit failed to power up on 6 June 2012 about 2 weeks after I updated ios5.11.  I took it to the 3HK repair center on 9 June 2012. 3HK refused to repair my iphone or exchange a new iphone for me by claiming that my iphone 4S is not original iphone. My iphone is in my possession 24 hours a day. The unit was functioning normal before it breakdown.  I could still using it to send and receive email before the night before I sleep. Any advice to help me to catch who rip me off : (1) 3HK sold me used equipment as brand new, or   (2) repairman in the 3HK's repair center swapped my iphone with a used and modified iphone.
