Saving text messages iPhone

I know this has been asked and answered, and I did try a search...Can someone point me to the app that transfers text messages from the iPhone to the computer and lets you access them? iPhone 3G stuck at restore error 2 in iTunes

Hi,I used to have a perfectly working iPhone until i synced and updated it to 3.1.3.I received unknown error (2) and now Im stuck in restore mode and there seems to be no way out. I have an Iphone since one year and no problems at all. since one month the problem start to apears with no WIFI connection at all. i contact APPLE in my place to solve the problem and they give me another one but also with the same problem appears in the same day and i returned to them again they give me another one new (this is the second new one) but since the start up WIFI not working at all.i gived up about the problem of WIFI nothing solve the problem and i cannt sustain with round trip between Apple and Me. Today I dropped my iphone 3g in my toilet and everything works except the home button. I let it dry and still, nothing. The home button doesnt work and the speakers and sound still glitch but everything else works perfectly fine. Any suggestion on what to do? Windows XP Pro

IPHONE LCD not working AFTER REPAIR

Did you check all the power connection any loose connection will result in the phone not starting. Also make sure that you do the home + power hard reset properly as I had the same issue. First hold down power and home simultaneously for about 10 secs, then release the power while still holding home for another 10 secs logo should come up. just replace my screen. took me an hour to figure this out. You can call me if you have any question 718 864 6960. PS Connector 4 on the logic board is responsible for power even without video you should still be able to hear that default chargin sound when connected to a power source. The best way to be certain is to remove the cables and reattach them as the fitting are a lil cumbersome to work with

All ICONS missing iPhone 3G

I just bought my new iPhone 3G and was exploring the phone. I mistakenly pressed Reset button under settings (not even further reset buttons), after which all the application icons are missing, except for YouTube, Stocks, Weather, Voice Memos, Clock & Settings. Even the phone options at bottom bar is missing. I cant even make phone or send text or access any of the iPhone applications. I tried rebooting the phone couple of times, reset all factory settings, reset home screen layout, but nothing works. Restrictions are off. I cant figure out what to do. Barely audible text message sound iPhone

When I send a text, go back to the home screen, and receive a new text, my normal text message sound plays. However, when I send a text and lock the phone, without going back to the home screen, if the same recipient texts me back, it will play a sound that is barely audible. It wont even notify me of a new text. I will see that I received a message if I randomly look at my phone. I should add that my normal text sound is the bell, and the barely audible sound is the one where you receive a message as you have the SMS app open. Big difference when you hear the two in terms of volume.Is there anyway to have it notify me with the same sound, rather than the barely audible sound when my phone is locked? iPhone iPhone OS 3.1.3

iPhone 3G not Work on Edge

My iPhone 3G just stopped working on the Edge network. If I turn off 3G or move to a non-3G area my phone goes to searching or no service. My girlfriend also has an iPhone 3G and she will have full bars in the same edge area that my phone is searching or showing no service.Ive erased all settings and information, Ive tried a different sim card and Ive spoken to AT&T with no luck.Any other ideas? iPhone 3G iPhone OS 3.1.3 not Modded or Jailbroken

Hello,Up until last Thursday I was able to receive picture messages, now they are not coming through. I have had people send me pictures to test my phone and I get nothing.I havent downloaded any apps, or even plugged my phone into itunes recently. Bogus voicemail notifications iPhone

Every time I DELETE a voicemail on my iPhone 3G, I get a text message. The message says:***************************text from 1 (23)voicemail 0 New 0 UrgentClose Reply***************************Whats even worse, sometimes this happens on its own, in the middle of the night, probably when it decides to archive some of the old voicemails. This is driving me crazy. not being able to make calls on 3G network after upgrading to OS 3.1.3 iPhone

HI all,I upgraded my and my wifes iPhone 3G phones to OS 3.1.3 last night. Since then, neither of us can make a call on AT&T 3G network. The same issue is occuring on both iPhones. Interestingly, while not being able to make any calls, the internet is working fine even though we see no bars in the upright corner. On the other hand, if I turn the 3G network off and use Edge network (2G) the bars come back and I can make call on both phones. Is there any such reported issues for 3.1.3? It is pretty weird. I wonder if it is the OS or the 3G network causing the problem. AT&T told me that they are aware of this and trying to resolve it. Is there anybody else experiencing this issue? iPhone goes into to Auto lock and then black screen

Once my iPhone 3G 8GB goes into Auto lock mode after 2 minutes the black screen with the white apple comes on and will not respond. not even a reset. Only putting back on a charger will bring it back to life. The battery is fully charged. I have downloaded latest versions from iTunes, also did a restore. Nothing is working.

Europe trip use iPhone for text messages disabling voicemail

Ill be in Europe for ten days later this month. Id like to take my US ATT iPhone with me to use purely for text messaging. Im willing to pay $0.50 to send and receive an occasional text message, if it makes coordinating travel plans a little easier.However, to avoid ATTs egregious international roaming and data charges, Id like to disable the voice phone and voice mail capabilities of my iPhone - as if Id turned off my phone, or left it home in the US.Is this possible? iPhone charging problem please help 3G

ok me and my fiance switched to at&t 3 days ago, we have a total of 4 lines on the account, 3 iphone 3g and just a cheap other phone. The iPhones went to myself, my fiance, and my mother. As soon as i got home i obviously started exploring my new phone, about 4 hours later i decided to charge my phone, i plugged the adapter into the wall socket hooked up the usb cord to that and then to my phone and nothing, i tried 6 different wall outlets and none of them worked. if i plug the usb into my computer my phone will charge just fine however. so my fiance decided to try and use her charger and it worked perfectly. yesterday moring my mother called me and said her phone was not charging, she was at work so i took her my car charger that way she could at least charge her phone so i brought her charger home and same thing adapter doesnt work but the usb hooked into the computer works just fine. since my mother doesnt have a computer i decided to give her the working charger that way she can at least charge her phone. later that evening my fiance picked up one of the broken chargers and tried to use it and it magically started working again and about 20 minutes later it stopped working again and has not worked since. i tried taking them in to at&t since it has only been 3 days since we bought them and they told me there was nothing can do for me. i am getting very frustrated. does anyone else have the same problem or have any tips on how to get these adapters to work. lenovo Windows XP

iPhone 3GS will not make or receive calls.

Over the past week my iPhone (which has worked perfectly for 6 months) had stopped making or receiving calls. My phone will work one minute then 24 hours later, i get 15 voicemails and text messages at 1 time from people that i have been trying to call me. Its as if i have no reception,then it will kick back in all of a sudden. The same goes when i try to make calls. I try to dial and it either freezes or just says cant connect and returns to home screen. Its getting worse as the days go on. Ive restored network setting, updated it on iTunes but it sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. LGP1 Windows XP

Incoming Call Photo iPhone

Very interested in knowing why my daughters 3GS shows a large picture of incoming caller (if in contacts) when calling. MMS Messaging not Sent on my 3GS iPhone

Last two days I am having trouble sending MMS messages. Get a red exclamation circle after the message. I cleared out loads of photos/apps/messages thinking that the phone might be a bit crowded (mine takes an age to sync). Still having problems. Then yesterday daughter and son-in-law started having the same problem. These are not messages with photos - just basic one or two lines of text. Could receive texts OK during this time. 3GS

Iphone Upgraded to 3.1.3 and now its not working 3G

Hi, I just upgraded few days ago from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 and now my iphone will not get out of the recovery loop.. I tried the 2 restores using Win7 and the other 2 on a MAC and it will not go out of restore.Is there a way i can go back to 3.1.2 because it was working fine. I only upgraded because Itunes checked online and there was an upgrade.Please helpRyan Windows 7

How I make texts only vibrate and phone calls vibrate and ring iPhone

I want to set my phone so that incoming text messages make my phone vibrate without a chime and incoming phone calls ring and vibrate. I cant figure out how to do that if its even possible. Can anyone help? iPhone 3Gs

can an iphone 3g battery leak of explode on overcharge

It just happened to 2 of then handsets in my home. One sony ericsson w350i and other nokia 1100. They were left to overcharge a couple of times and then the battery just stopped working. Upon observation the whole battery had swollen up, without any external leaks. I was wondering if something like this can happen with the iPhone 3g or is the firmware smart enough to make it stop charging on full charge?I also bought an app called sleep cycle which requires iPhone to be running overnight without screen lock and is recommends users to keep it plugged in to the charger so that it can stay up to sound the intended wake up alarm. No Wifi after upgrade to 3.1.3 on my iPhone 3G

Hi All,Well, I updated my iPhone 3G to 3.1.3 from 3.1 and my iPhone does not show the Wifi anymore. The Wifi settings in Settings is grayed out.I am sheerly frustrated by the fact that the update has bricked my phone. Since, then I have tried severals restores and resets. But alas no luck. Finally, I tried Reset Network Settings once again and the Wifi was detected and the Wifi address showed up.Next, my Wifi dropped connection after being connected to the Airport Express base station after 30 mins. The Wifi would no longer detect any networks. I restarted the phone and the Wifi is gone again. No Wifi address and the Wifi address is missing. I again did Reset Network Settings several times. Finally, the Wifi showed up again. This time around, the Wifi dropped connection after 10 mins and wont show up again.I am, certain that the 3.1.3 update is causing these issue. My phone has been working perfectly before the update.I know there are other threads on this issue. I am starting a new one just to have Apples attention on this issue. I fail to understand how I am supposed to live with a iPhone which was bricked by the software update. MacBook Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Why a specific e-mail already deleted in the outlook, which is sync with iphone, still showing in the iphone screen many days later despite of the fact that all other e-mails are deleted without a problem?My iphone is sync with my outlook e-mails with a corporate account, has being working perfect since than, but I have one specific e-mail that came in few days ago, answered, and deleted; however when deleted i still getting a message the message could not be moved to the mailbox trash and the related e-mail still showing in my inbox. On my iPhone 3GS I received an MMS earlier from a Sprint blackberry user. Showed up in my emails as an email, picture attached. (after fetching via sprints mail service)Later received an MMS from another Sprint Blackberry user (different person) and it came through in my messages window as a text would. What gives? On a side note, didnt think iPhones could get MMS. 3GS 16gig

Is this an Iphone mail issue or does it just not open JPEg or videos and pics? Seems wierd that you can watch videos via youtube but not be able to view them in email? Is there an email app for this? Also the same applies to MMS, what is up with this? iPhone OS 3.1.2

This has happened occasionally ever since MMS was enabled. And it only happens when someone sends an email (not a text or MMS from another phone) to <mynumber@mms.att.net>. not Receiving Video Messages from Palm Pre iPhone

Palm recently upgraded their OS to allow people to send video messages through MMS. My friend has been trying to send videos to my iPhone but I never receive them even though pictures and regular text messages come through just fine. He has sent them to other people on other networks and theres no problem. The videos are short, 10 secs or less, so thats not the issue. Last night I received a text message on the iPhone but it appeared differently on screen - it took up the whole of the screen and had the telephone number at the top in large numbers - then the text message across the screen - and then a large DISCARD red button at the bottom... NO SERVICE iPhone 3G

I got my email to pre-oder an iPad. Thanks for the head’s-up. I really like the iPad idea, as i have an iPhone and really love the features the SCREEN is so fine, I imagine the iPad will be a great screen for its uses. BUTA big BUT – my iPhone is not reliable! It goes NO SEVICE regularly (usually from 5 pm to 8 pm) right in northwest Houston where cel towers abound. I use it for business and it is a critical communication tool that has let me down regularly lately as I am an M&A deal lawyer for whom staying in touch at all hours on deal negotiations is crucial. I may have to dump my otherwise beloved iPhone for somenting that works.The ATT phone store folks tell me its because iPhone is 3G only, and cannot roll over to regular network if 3G is not working. So, unlike other phone with dual mode, iPhone is DEAD if 3G is out. It also seems to happen when my battery shows less than full charge – even ¾ charge. NO SERVICE. Maybe my iPhone is defective. Still NO SERVICE means I don’t have what I need which is a working cel phone when I need it.So, I’m an iPhone customer with NO SERVICE when I need it. I’ll wait on the iPad, until Apple and ATT can provide reliable 3G or dual mode or battery/phone that works at ¾ charge.I’d be ordering an iPad right this second if not for the problems with my iPhone.

Mail keeps quitting on my iphone

I have had this problem for days now. I rang Apple and they told me to delete all the emails on my internet web mail account. This I did and the same probelm reoccurred. Yesterday I was just looking at it again on my own. I deleted the offending account on my phone. Then I went back on the web mail account. I clicked on deleted emails and of course, although they are deleted, they are still on the system. I found next to deleted emails something called 'purge deleted emails'. I clicked on that and the emails completely disappeared. The I reinstated the account on my phone. The emails briefly showed themselves and then magically disappeared and the phone is working! Yesss! Received text alert noise going off but actual msg not iPhone 3G

I have been dealing with this for a couple months now. The noise will go off once or twice a day without the actual text coming through. I am getting complaints that I dont reply to texts and I confirm that I should be receiving these texts by looking at their sent folders. I get no error message. I called iPhone support and they told me to upgrade to 3.1 software which I did but the problem persists. Please help None iPhone OS 3.1.3

Hi, after searching the internet for a solution, i hope one of you guys can help.Well, when i start Remote on my iPhone iTunes detects the Device, and im able to enter the code in iTunes. But when im trying to connect to my library, my iPhone just wont do it. I tried to turn off my Firewall, but still the same problem. Moisture Alerts not working Warranty iPhone 3G

I currently have the IPhone 3G with 3.1.3 installed and it is 1 Yr and 3 months old. Unfortunately, somehow (heard that before??) the moisture sensor in the bottom is pink. I did not even know it went off until the a genius told me this and wanted me to buy a new one. The phone was not dropped in water, otherwise my other sensors would have went off and they are not. Everything on the phone works except sounds on my alerts and such. The speakers do work like when I have it on speaker phone and such but no alerts.I have been combing the internet and saw all the suggestions from cleaning the headphone jack, all the different restore and reset options and nothing has helped.So here is my dilemma,,,I am actually entertaining the thought of a new Iphone with whatever insurance but if the insurance/warranty will not cover moisture damage, I am not sure I will purchase another Iphone. I have seen all the rants and complaints about moisture with this phone and it leaves a lot to question.So now, I can pay for support, that may or may not help or I can just put that money to another phone which could end up in the same boat.So does anybody have an idea or thoughts on warranty or insurance purchases with the Iphones???? 3G iPhone OS 3.1.3

Recovering conversations or Sending full conversations to another iPhone

When texting with the iPhone, one way to look back at the conversation to refer to a previous text is to hit the edit button. Trouble is, this option gives you the ability to delete or clear an entire text conversation with the push of one button. If someone (not me of course!) has accidentally deleted 5 months worth of texts, which are chock-full of important correspondance, is there any way for:a) this person to recover these texts?b) for the other party who still has these texts to email or send the full five months of back and forth to this other iPhone user? 3GS

need help with iphone battery charging please 3G

hey all,i have a problem with charging iphone battery,i´ve had the phone for 8months now with no problems at all,yesterday i used it as a modem for connecting to the internet and it worked just fine but the battery died so quick and now it wont charge at alli used both charge connector and USB drive in the computer - nothing works, i already tried resseting it several times - didnt work either, i also tried plugging in a different cable - thta didnt help either so its basically turned into a brick, i noticed tho when i try to restart it there´s a couple wierd lines on my display but then it doesnt turn on or anything, it goes back to a black screen with battery picture and one red line indicating i need to charge it...i tried to charge it overnight but the red line on the battery pic doesnt move or anything, there´s no sign of it charging at all and it doesnt even want to sync with the computer, i dont know what else to try please help someonethankyouMessage was edited by: LailaGerard iPhone OS 3.1.3

Please help! After I did the 3.1.3 update I am no longer able to text message pictures! I called apple customer service and that was no help, can someone help me? It is ridiculous that they offer an update and encourage us to get it done but yet it messes up all of our settings.
