It may have been answered already, but how do I forward a text message. I am new to the iPhone and I get forwarded messages sent to me from my sister. I would like to forward some of them on to my contacts but I dont know how to do it. PLEASE HELP ME?! iPhone OS 3.1.3

Recovering conversations or Sending full conversations to another iPhone

When texting with the iPhone, one way to look back at the conversation to refer to a previous text is to hit the edit button. Trouble is, this option gives you the ability to delete or clear an entire text conversation with the push of one button. If someone (not me of course!) has accidentally deleted 5 months worth of texts, which are chock-full of important correspondance, is there any way for:a) this person to recover these texts?b) for the other party who still has these texts to email or send the full five months of back and forth to this other iPhone user? 3GS

hey all,i have a problem with charging iphone battery,i´ve had the phone for 8months now with no problems at all,yesterday i used it as a modem for connecting to the internet and it worked just fine but the battery died so quick and now it wont charge at alli used both charge connector and USB drive in the computer - nothing works, i already tried resseting it several times - didnt work either, i also tried plugging in a different cable - thta didnt help either so its basically turned into a brick, i noticed tho when i try to restart it there´s a couple wierd lines on my display but then it doesnt turn on or anything, it goes back to a black screen with battery picture and one red line indicating i need to charge it...i tried to charge it overnight but the red line on the battery pic doesnt move or anything, there´s no sign of it charging at all and it doesnt even want to sync with the computer, i dont know what else to try please help someonethankyouMessage was edited by: LailaGerard iPhone OS 3.1.3

Accidently pressing send button during composing text iPhone

I signed up to Follow a Brewery. I received the sign up on the Messages icon on the iPhone. The Brewery posts tweets and I can get them through Echofon (a Twitter-like APP on my phone). Please help! After I did the 3.1.3 update I am no longer able to text message pictures! I called apple customer service and that was no help, can someone help me? It is ridiculous that they offer an update and encourage us to get it done but yet it messes up all of our settings. Backups not working iPhone 3G

So here is my problem. I broke my 3G and have been using my old 2G iPhone as a replacement. Well I finally got my 3G to Apple who gave me a replacement. So I went home and plugged my 2G into my Mac, made a back up then restored the new 3G. Unfortunately the back did, pretty much nothing. Restoring only my wallpaper and camera roll. None of my contacts where moved, nor SMS, nor YouTube favourites, nor Application Data. This is keeping me from switching back to my 3G, and Im not happy. Ok, i have an iphone 3g, i bought it in CLARO, a mobilephone company from argentina. I had been having LOTS of hard problems a few month ago, and guess what? Certain part of screen stopped working iPhone 3G

So one night I was texting and a certain part of the screen stopped working. The only way I can describe the part of the screen is by saying it is if you look at the regular texting screen, from the top of the spacebar and up to the top of the texting letters does not work on the ENTIRE iPhone. I cant call people by entering numbers. But I can answer phone calls, set alarms, but its the certain area on the phone that does not work. What do I do to fix this? New 3GS iPhone-unable to send SMSTXT messages

I recently purchased a 16GB 3GS iPhone and am somewhat disappointed with the product. I am now stuck with it, so must persist !My main issue, is the sudden and inexplicable loss of ability to send text messages ! The send icon no longer illuminates (as it is supposed to) and I cannot respond to, or send new text messages. This function worked as advertised for about five days prior to becoming unserviceable.I have updated the firmware/software via iTunes and have constantly rebooted the phone to no effect. Ive also withdrawn and re-inserted the SIM card.Nothing works !!My other major issue with this phone, is the degraded battery life !! I have turned off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and dimmed the display. I barely use the phone for voice conversations and usually only send 10-15 SMS/TXT per day. This just began happening yesterday. Turned on my iphone and click on any icon such as Weather, and click the Home button it doesnt go back to main page. Holding it for awhile, does nothingeither. If I wanted to make a call, I had to completely reboot. It is stuck there now.To troubleshoot, I have rebooted several times. Itunes recognizes my iphoneand installed the lastest updates. HiIf someone has a working iPhone in a country in latinamerica and travels to the USA, is it possible to use the same iPhone but with a USA working SIM?In other words, can you open the iPhone at the top with a clip, take out the SIM card and replace with a USA based SIM card?Can you purchase a SIM card easily in the USA?thanksJThe reason I ask is because I went into an AT&T store while on holiday in December, and they told me I needed a social security number to be able to purchase a USA based iPhone. Apple ID not really working. iPhone 3G

Heya, I have a problem with my Apple ID. When Im going to download free games from Appstore, they ask me to fill in all the information on Billing Information, in which they send me to that page, and I fill in all thats needed. When I finally click on Submit, a red text appears telling me to type my Apple ID and password, go to Billing Information, and fill in. Theyre basically telling me to do exactly what Im doing. So Im not getting any further. Does someone else have this problem aswell, or am I the first one? And can someone please tell me how to make it right? Windows XP Windows XP

So I really need help to figure this one out. Suddenly when I get a message it only vibrates even though all sounds are on and when someone calls the sound works perfectly normal. I have tried looking under settings - sounds - new text message - and then when I try to choose the sound I want to hear when the new message comes it wont let me listen to it so Im thinking this is where the problem is. I often text reminders to myself....so in the text conversation with myself theres the green sent bubble and the white recieved message bubble. Then all of a sudden today, the recieved texts started showing up in my yahoo email inbox. I have had my iPhone 3G for over a year now, and I LOVE it. It has never given me a bit of problems...until today. I clicked on an application, and it took me to a screen which was black. I waited a while then decided to go ahead and shut down the phone. Every time I try to turn it back on, I get the little apple, and then it disappears on to a black screen. It doesnt come up enough to be recognized in iTunes (Ive tried), and none of the troubleshooting options seem to work (even holding down the home button and the power button at the top until the apple appears). My Iphone GPS has stopped working, I think it is because a upgrade, before I upgrade to 3.0.1 firmware version the GPS worked so fine.I have MotionX-GPS app and it shows me a message that said Network triangulation, when I select Outdoor GPS mode, a message show informing that GPS has no signal, the same happens in a compass app.I would like to have a solution for this. iPhone not being detected after iTunes update 3G

I am not sure if my query is in the right section, if no apologies. I have just reinstalled snowleopard on my macbook, after reinstall my iphone is charging, iTunes is detecting it although can not access it since it is running 8.xx version. Here is the problem when I update my iTunes to the latest release i.e. 9.xx iPhone stops charging and completely disappears from iTunes. It is a iPhone 3g running 3.1.2 OS, strangely enough my iPhone is working perfectly with Windows machine but not on macbook. Any suggestions. Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Predictive talking text iPhone

My iphone is now showing the predictive text and saying it outloud! I can not shut off the voice. Does anyone know how to shut this off? Everyone around you can hear it when you are texting! random unresponsive screen-else experience iPhone

At what appears to be random times, my iphone touch screen becomes unresponsive. The home and sleep/wake buttons work, but the touch screen does not. This unresponsiveness occurs within either an app or within the main screens or when trying to answer a call. The only way to get things working again is to hit the sleep button, then home button, slide to unlock, then it is responsive again. I have reset the phone. Has anybody else experienced this? I have kept immaculate care of my iPhone 3GS since I bought it last June. I make sure to sync it regularly and it is in great shape. However I have recently discovered that occasionally when I send a text or picture message that the recipient does not get it. Likewise I have not been receiving a large number of text and picture messages. There is primarily 3 people I message regularly and they all report that I am not sending/receiving about 1/5th of the items. Cant Send or Receive Calls and text Messages in My Local Area iPhone 3G

This morning, 6 miles away from home my iPhone worked well. When I arrived home and tried the same, calls and texts failed. There is a cell tower less than one mile from my home and the same thing happened last summer and several weeks ago. AT&T is telling me that I need to replace my phone because when I took the SIM card out and put in into my old RAZR phone it worked. I just put the SIM card back into my iPhone and all is well. AT&T claims to have a problem with the local cell tower, but because my RAZR worked, they are blaming the iPhone. I dont think they are correct. I have restored the iPhone, updated my OS, turned it on and off several times in the process.My iPhone is out of warranty and I cant get an answer from Apple for free. Has anyone had this problem? Photo Library wont sync with iPhoto iPhone 3G

I have a iPhone 3G and when I first got my iMac and synced the two and it downloaded all 12K photos I have in iPhoto. Well, now I have no more disk space on my iPhone and I would like to delete some of the photos off my Photo Library to get some disk space, but its not working, HELP!!!! phone losing charge quickly with minimal use. iPhone 3G

My stupid phone keeps dying after a few hours of not being plugged in. Today it did it and I had only made one very short phone call and used it to read a couple of emails. I havent used any apps that use a lot of power and I havent been using it to listen to music at all today. This happens frequently. What gives? Ive already done a factory refresh which I regret doing because it didnt fix the problem and, despite running a back-up of the phone before doing a refresh, all of my apps and and music where erased even though I told it to restore my phones content using the backup file I just created. This is the second 3G Ive owned (the first ones ear speaker stopped working and Apple replaced it with this one). The first one never did this. Hi,I have an iphone 3g, and when Im making calls the screen is still active. Thats a probleme because I can press at anytime mute or other features.I searched on this forum, but the only answer I fund was to remove the cover, which I did but didnt solve the problem.The sensor looks ok as, for exemple, if I go to the iPod > See the Albums as cover and turn the screen it follows. When in email app cant go back in my email balance iPhone

I have switch from blackberry to iPhone few weeks ago. My entreprise email service work with exchange ans everything was working just fine until today. Previously, when I click on the email app, I was able to see all the emails I have receive, choose one, read it and then go back to my inbox by clicking the Balance button in the left upper corner of the screen. But since this morning, the balance button has disapear and im stuck on an email, with my only option is the file it, delete it or answer it. If i delete it, then the next email appears but I can go back in the inbox. Since I didnt change any settings, I cant figure out whats happening. Any idea? Lenovo ThinkPad Windows XP

iPhone locks up when someone tries to call 3G

Hello. My iPhone keeps locking up when a contact on my phone calls me. This only happens when either a contact calls who has a picture assigned to them or has multiple numbers under a single name. I did not try applying pictures to my contacts or applying multiple numbers to a single contact since the 3.1.3 update. Im not sure if that update fixed that bug but I dont want to risk it since I always miss the call when those types of contacts call since the phone locks up. Trouble Sending text messages after updating to 3.1.3 iPhone

So last night I updated to 3.1.3 and now i am having serious trouble sending text messages. At about the 90% mark the sending progress bar stops and then Ill get the red exclamation mark stating my message was not sent. If i try to resend the text about 4 or 5 times it will finally go through. I am at work where I know I have a connection to AT&Ts network. I have never had trouble here before. I have tried resetting the phone multiple times and the network settings. not sure what to do? Any suggestions would be great. MacBook Pro

iPhone dies suddenly. 3G

I have an iPhone 3G... 3.1.3 firmware...up until a few hours ago everything was fine...Then, without any kind of warning, the phone screen is blank.Hitting the center button produces the Apple logo for a few seconds, then it disappears.Soft reset doesnt work... and the Sleep/Wake button is not functioning...If I plug it into a power source, it works, but Sleep/Wake button is still not functioning.Ive tried a Restore phone, but its still not working properly... anyone have any ideas?The plug into power source points to the battery, but it died so suddenly I dont think its the cause. iMac Intel Core Duo Mac OS X (10.4.7) iPhone 3G, AppleTV
