Strange noise over phone iPhone 3G

Reply Topic Today with whoever I talk to I have this strange electronic noise over my phone. Ive tried restarting my phone several times and uninstalling recent apps. My friend describes the sound as a monster from Dr.Who it is making phone calls impossible! Well there is that and the unacceptable frequency of dropped calls. What should I do?
