How many feet is the iPhone's speakerphone hear & speak good for.

Friends have other mfg smart phones and put them on their car seats or dashboard and can use them without problems for hands free cell phone use.

Clearly it depends on the envorinment but I can put my iPhone on the passenger seat of my truck and have a conversation with the windows closed.
