Have lost all sounds and have no sound control after upgradin my 4S to iOS 5.1.1
Have done all the restores, resets, cleaning ports with paperclips, toothbrushes, etc. Mute is off. Can hear the sounds when going to Settings > Sounds, but not hearing them when I get a phone call or text message. No keyboard sounds. Seems to be able to play music fine.
Is this a glitch with the new OS? I don't want to jailbreak the phone to remove the plist file...
Is it all sounds through the speaker, earpiece, mic picking up sound?? If it's just the speaker, I know exactly what you're talking about, and you'll need to do an iTunes restore as new. That should fix it. If not, it's hardware.
Check if under general-sounds-keyboard clicks is turned on maybe its Off just a thought.
Same thing for lock screen sounds if it doesn't work please reply so we can assist.
Speaker works when listening to voicemail, headphones work fine, people can hear me on calls, so mic works. Music plays fine and I can adjust volume too.
Keyboard clicks is on, but doesn't make sounds.
Screen sounds on but same silence.
No button control or manual adjustment for sound available for anything else.
Have restored twice, reset and all the rest...sort of wish I could just go back one iOS version.
Thanks CardinalFan2486 and ClearNexus for the help so far!
