I have tried plugging into itunes as directed but wont let me due so because of it being password locked, so I also tried the holding home and power buttons while plugging it in so the connect too itunes screen comes up and it still comes to the error enter the password before you can do anything an i have tried it twice, dont know what the heck is going on because this is what it says too do but it wont let me
You'll have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it:
Turn your phone off, then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still dont see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

I have tried this it all does what your saying it will, then kicks back to the same need to enter your password error

You do have to force it into recovery mode and then restore it as a new phone.

Reply something about My son typed in wrong passwords way too many times and I have tried all instructions on and they dont work. iPhone or Post a New Thread
