I need a bit of help here.
I've set up Siri to recognise my grandmothers and when I ask the programme to call my grandmother both of them show up without problems. So far so good, however, when I select one of them I get the message that she can't be found in my addressbook (they're both there).
Any suggestions for solutions? Its not a huge problem but it is quite annoying.
How are the contacts first names spelled?
I had a problem with Siri not being able to find my friend "Garry W....." in my telephone book.
Garry with two "r(s)" confused her. The normal spelling of Garry is Gary, anyway Siri is in "Beta" and doesn't handle everything like you might think she should and she just refused to offer up "Garry" when I asked for "Gary" - such a simple thing but she just couldn't extrapolate the spelling variation.
Solution to my problem was to change the spelling in my phone book to "Gary" (with one "r"), now Siri loves me again and does find my friends name.
I have even seen some suggestions to change your phone book names that confuse Siri to a "Phonetic Spelling"
But she does know that she is dressed in "Glass and Stainless Steel".
