Is anyone else having problems using their 3g iphone as an iPod through their vehicles interface? I own a 2008 Infiniti G35 and ever since the OS update it is not recognized by my car stereo. I can connect to any of the other 4 iPods I own including a touch that has not been updated, but when my iPhone is connected my cars screen reads No Ipod connected, and no sound is heard. Someone please help I dont want to have an iPod dedicated to my car because my Iphone will no longer work. BTW the bluetooth still syncs to the hands free and works great except there has been an echo recently I hadnt noticed before.

i have the same exact problem. first search i did for a fix/explanation brought me here. im going to continue to look for one, just thought id let you know youre not alone.

I'm having the same problem in a Nissan Murano 09. This is total BS. Let me know if you hear how to solve the problem. Thanks!

Same problem here as well.

I have an iPod Touch first Gen and a 08 G37 coupe.

It worked one time since the update. It at least charges the iPod, but I'm really annoyed

Update!

If you set the stereo to iPod. Then turn on the iPod (unconnected) find a play list, hit play, then plug it into the car, it seems to work. So far I'm 3/3 doing it this way. And I seem to be able to change songs and playlists from the control.

So apparently something has to be playing for the stereo to recognize it.

My Iphone Running 3.1.3 will connect up but I can only use the headunit controls not the Iphone itself just comes up accessory connected !! very annoying Damm you apple !!
