Simply forwarding text messages iPhone 3G

Well downloading the new update, I am slightly peeved that they STILL have not included a FORWARD function on text messages.
If it can be done on email, why not texts ? Now I know most of us get the joke texts and send them on, so infact it saves you money, but when i need to forward a number or info, i have to write it down and then compose.
also, to forward a contact as a text message, pretty basic function on most mobiles !
so, I now need a soloution, anyone got one yet ?
