does anyone know if Apple intends to offer RSAP on I Phone, I sent them an e.mail to Apple some weeks ago (please see below), which they hav'nt even clicked the read receipt. It amazes me that such a forward thinking company can be so backward on what appears to be a simple issue, and a simple softwear upgrade. I've been looking at other phone makers Nokia and Samsung and whilst Nokia provide this option on their phones, Samsung did remove this option on the Galaxey S3 when they upgraded the OS from Ginger Bread to Ice Cream Sandwich, BUT WERE QUICK TO REACT WHEN THERE CUSTOMERS COMPLAINED ABOUT THE LOST FACILITY (Shouting now done). And have now issued a softwear upgrade for this.
Come on Apple please give you customers want they want from a phone, intoday's business market. Whilst i accept this is not for everyone but for some of us who need this option in our cars for business would be a big step forward after all it's only upgrading the bluetooth.
For those who may be intrested please see the mail sent to Apple's
Dear Mr Cook
I wanted to drop a line to you or your team in Apple with regards to a function that Isn’t offered by Apple on the Iphone which is known as SAP (Sim Access Profile) and RSAP (Remote Sim Access Profile).
Firstly please excuse me if you or any of your team understand, but this function is part of Bluetooth and allows the car system to download your contacts and also receive and send SMS. It also puts the phone in standby allowing greater battery life.
Could you advise me if this is something Apple would consider with a software upgrade which would be good in my business as I operate a Limo Company in the UK.
There are a number of other mobile phone companies such as Nokia HTC and I think Sony to name a few. Samsung used to have this facility on their Galaxy range until they change their OS from Ginger Bread to Ice Cream Sandwich where it was removed. This in turn has upset a lot of Samsung users, and having read some forum reviews Apple users feel the same by not having this. This could be a good thing for Apple to introduce as a non-android offering this type of connection as well from a safety point of view as well
Whilst I don’t want to move from Apple this option is very Important to me and prior to me moving from Nokia to Apple I had this facility. if this is something not in the pipeline I may have to take this route and head back to Nokia
For you information the vehicle I use for my business which is sold in the US is the Buick Regal under the GM Badge from Opel in Europe.
I look forward to hearing from you in due course
No one here would have any way of knowing.

Thanks for the reply, I'm new to this forum and was given the address by an Apple consultant in regards to getting feedback on this issue. What i find strange is that with new OS coming out around Sept/Oct someone somewhere must have told apple regarding this item.
I would love to know how to contact someone in apple regarding this issue to see if they are aware of the problem and if so what they plan to do about it.
Also it's nice to know someone is over seeing the Kids playing nice in the sand, but they also need to know it's kid friendly sand as it can sting a little when thrown around and might just decide to nip off for some Ginger Bread or maybe a nice Ice Cream Sandwich to take the sting out of the problem.
Please advise me if you know who I can contact as neither of the above really appeal
Steve
I wouldn't waste too much time on your quest, except to read the following (I think the key sentence might be "Please do not submit any unsolicited ideas, original creative artwork, suggestions or other works (“submissions”) in any form to Apple or any of its employees.")
