Hi all,
I smashed the screen of my iPhone 4S last Friday. I made an appointment with the Genius Bar in my Apple store for today and paid for the replacement. The guy started to sync the phone through iCloud and said I could sync the apps when I got home. I had backed up before leaving that morning.
Trouble is, whenever I plug the phone in it says "This *computer* has already been synced with an iPhone or another device". The "*" are mine.
It restores and I get the basic apps, I eject and plug it in again, then I get the same message above and never any option to sync the apps.
Any ideas what could be happening here?
Thanks
Stuart
There is no sync button. Everytime I connect my phone it asks if I want to set it up as a new device or restore. Nothing else. Even after restoring.
Seems to be a known bug. You can work around it by either, choosing setup as a new iPhone and then removing the USB cable before sync properly starts (which I did), or some people say that you can just set it up as new, but it's not really new, and then you can sync all you stuff over.
So, there you go.
