I recently bought an iphone 4 and while synching somewhere along the way lost my ringtones I have purchased in itunes and on my phone and don't have a backup I can use because the phone is so new. From what I've read I'll have to repurchase tones?? I think somewhere along the way when I was synching I may have goofed and somehow erased them from my itunes library and they aren't on my phone? If I have to repurchase it makes me never want to buy any ringtone ever again from the store. It's poor business if you ask me...I paid for the rights to use the tone instead of just making it like everyone else and I can't redeem my purchased product from a network that boasts about how you can back things up via their cloud and everything? Am I missing something or is it really that bad? Because tones are through the app store you can't redeem them? Someone tell me what's going on here or if I'm just out of luck please.
Standard policy is not to replace lost ringtones. You can plead your case to iTune store support and maybe they will grant you an exception: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

If that's the case I just won't be making any more purchases. It's way too easy to fudge something like that and lose a good bit of money with the way their software works. Oh well I'll keep my dollars from now on.
