All of a sudden I have a problem with the volume on my phone. I know it isn't a problem with the speakers as all my videos play normally with sounds, and when I try to change the ringtone , it plays. However, I cannot adjust the volume using the volume buttons on the side, and the silence switch doesn't work...when I press any of them, there is no on screen confirmation of a change. The ohphone also doesn't play any noise when I have an incoming call or text. But I like I said, I can play videos with sound, I can go to settings and sound and hear the ringtones. I have reset, and restored the phone but nothing has made any difference.
I was wondering if anyone here had any advice? I have had the phone for longer than a year, would they be able to help in the Apple Store?
Thanks!

Nice group of links, Too bad none of them have anything whatsoever to do with the OP's problem. Did you read her post at all?
The function of this forum is to provide specific help THAT YOU TESTED, not blindly shotgun references in hopes of picking up some points without having to bother evaluating the actual problem...
@KarrieAnn:
Try the following as needed:
1. Settings > Sounds > Change with Buttons > ON
2. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
3. Rapidly plug and unplug a headset 10 times to free up a stuck headset mode switch in the jack
4. Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
5. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
6. Restore phone in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new didn't help, there is a hardware problem that needs evaluation by Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

W1$C,
What on earth does your response have to do with the OP's question?
Either make SOME effort to be helpful, or don't even bother posting. And what's with all your exclamation points after every sentence you post? Is your period key broken?
