I just update my iphone 4 verizon version with the ios 5.1.1 update and now have a problem with google.com image search. When I search an image with google, I get the typical thumbnail of pictures. But when I click on one of the images nothing happens, I am un-able to select the given image. Also I try to advance to the next page and nothing happens, I stay on the same page. If I search using yahoo everything works fine. Everything is fine when I use google image search on my Ipad and Mac. Whats up with the iphone 4 after this ios update?

I seem to have stumbled on a fix for my iPhone 4 by turning off Private Browsing while an image results page was open in the background, closing Safari, then turning Private Browsing on again. Once Safari was re-launched, thumbnails seemed to pop open almost instantly -- far more quickly than before 5.1.1.

Never mind. Half an hour later, Google images locked up again.

OK, I had the same problem (upgraded to 5.1.1 this morning and couldn't expand thumbnails in Safari nor could I scroll too next thumbnail page) but I just fixed it. 

 

So what did I do?

 

I plugged my iphone into my iMac.  As it synced with itunes, I noticed it giving it some sort of Safari fix/plug in.  I picked up my phone and tried Safari/images and everything is back to the way it was (expanding/scrolling etc).

 

Hope this works for you.  And thanks for letting me know I wasn't the only person who felt like a sap today for upgrading;)
