PLEASE HELP-new 4s doesn t appear in iTunes iPhone

Seems like a lot of us are having this issue with iPhone 4 and 4s devices.  Are you running OS X Mountain Lion?

i am, the most up to date version as well.  i had zero issues on my iphone 4 before today when i purchased the 4s.  this is torture bro

I'm running Mountain Lion too, I'm wondering if this is the common thread between us.  I've tried every way of fixing it, but no luck.  Hopefully Apple Support will take note of these complaints and start digging into the issue.

Im running mountain lion and having the same issues, but i did bring the phone over to my windows XP pc and still same deal, shows up under devices but blank under summary on the right hand side.... never seen anything like this before... Anybody get this solved???? wow, hope we get this working!!!!

i thought id be the only one but clearly this is spreading, and hopefully someone over at apple will be so kind to shed some light on the issue asap...
