phone only vibrates after pairing with bluetooth hands free iPhone 4

After I paired my iphone 4 with a motorola roadster handsfree device, it wont ring when the phone is NOT connected to the roadster. In the car its fine, but outside the phone only vibrates when someone is calling.
I set checked and rechecked the ringer settings and its all good. I cant find anywhere that says dont ring anymore and of course the volume is set to max but still nothing. Ringer is set to old phone and I even turned off bluetooth but that didnt help...
Thats where you guys come in hopefully Help please!

this may be a dumb question but is the vibrate switch on the left side of your phone turned on ... try sliding the switch to the ring setting
