A colleague (who will remain nameless until I name and shame him) decided to be clever and tell me he could update my iTunes and iOS5 to the latest betas without a hitch. The idiot I am allowed him to do this, and now I have nothing ... zip ... nada. My iPhone shows a grey screen and reads "This device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program. ##br####br##. If you are a member of the Program, please register your device in the @@url@@."
Moreover, iTunes sees the iPhone under devices, but that's about it. "We are unable to complete your activation", it says, and repeats the message given on the iPhone screen. All I can do with the phone is access the wireless settings.
I've removed iTunes from my MacBook Pro and downloaded version 10.5 (141) from the Apple Store. I have the proper iOS3,1_5.0_9A334_Restore.ipsw but there's no restore function in iTunes.
Anybody know what I can do here please? My colleague is very close to death here, unless I get this sorted.
Thank you.
I think you had the same problem as my coworker. She called Verizon and they told her to turn off the phone, turn it back on and then double click her home button. There are a row of recent used apps. She had to hold an app (on that bottom row) to make them wiggle and then delete all of them. after that, she was able to use her phone.
She said that Verizon told her to do that at least once a month.
But stay on the message board and look for more answers. I am NOT very tech-savvy! I hope this is the answer for you...BUT STAY ON THE MESSAGE BOARD and review the answers!!!

Thank you. There are no apps at all. At least, not that it will permit me to see. There are some wifi settings, and it will allow me to make an emergency call, but that's it!

ok. good luck. i hope someone has an answer for you!
oh:
i wonder if you can hi-light all your music from your Library in iTunes and drag them into your iPhone under devices. if you click the arrow next to your iPhone in devices, you should see a drop down menu.
i had to do this for my iphone when everything sync'd except for my ringtones when i upgraded to icloud. i had to delete my ringtones under the iphone in devices. then hilight all my ringtones in my library, drag them to ringtones in devices. and then i had my ringtones back.
i had posted my issue when iCloud first came out. i don't know if you'll find it in this message board, but it worked for people.
hope it's up and running soon!
