PASSWORD WON'T WORK iPhone 4S

Every time I enter my password, I get a message back that says  Unknown error. The same password works on my iPhone 4 (which I'm using as an iPod and my iPad but not my iPhone 4S!!!   Any ideas, Anyone?  PLLLEASSSSSSE!!!!!!!

What password?  The passcode lock or the Apple ID password?
