Hi all,

 

I've had my XM Skydock installed in my 2003 Honda Accord for just under 2 years.  It's been working fine but not when I plug my iPhone 4 in, I get the dreaded "This Accessory is not compatible with iPhone."  I've had that happen a couple of times before, and I fixed it by rebooting or reseating my phone in the Skydock.  Now, it happens all the time.  My phone charges in the cradle but I can't access my XM Skydock app or play music through my speakers from my iPhone.  I talked with XM Support and they suggested I need a new Skydock but before I did that, I wanted to check with the community about other possible solutions.

 

I don't use the XM app/radio that much so I'm also open to other options instead of the Skydock.  As of now, I have an AUX-IN cable accessible right by cup-holders next to my driver's seat.  I can stick that into my headphone jack and I hear music, but the iPhone doesn't charge and I can't use the XM Skydock App.  My main goal is to listen to music on my iPhone through my speakers.

 

Any thoughts?

I am having the same problem with my iPhone 4s.  It was working great until this morning.  The only thing I did was sync it to iTunes last night which I'm beginning to think may be the source of my problem.  My husband's iPhone 4 works fine with XM and playing music through the skydock through our car speakers.  He is still using IOS 4.3 which I think is the difference...I'm using 5.0.1.

 

My iPhone battery is running "hot" and discharging quickly today as well.  Went into the local Apple Store and they tested the battery and said it was testing fine.  They did mention there is a "battery issue" that Apple is working on but they don't when it will be released to patch the issue and maybe that is what I'm experiencing. Right now I'm just all around frustrated!
