Both these problems can be due to charging port problem. Clean iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage, make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, then clean with toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyll Alcohol.

This did not work either but I did buy AppleCare + for IPhone so I will set up an appointment.
