My iphone 4 has a black screen and gets warm when charging. also, the battery runs out unusually fast. I can still receive calls etc and can see a 'backlight' come on behind the black screen when buttons are pressed, but I can not see anything on the screen. I have tried restoring the phone from recovery mode in iTunes but this does not fix the problem. If it were the screen that needs replacing then would the phone get warm?

Update. After iTunes restores the phone from a previous backup, and the phone re-starts, it asks me AGAIN if I would like to restore the phone from a previous backup. it says "can not restore the phone because it was disconnected". Very strange.
