My computer wont recognise my new iPhone 4S at all

Whenever I try to plug my iPhone into my windows laptop to charge or sync music to or whatever, it just doesnt appear to recignise it at all. It doesn't appear in the Devices tab of iTunes, and doesn't appear in Devices with Removable Storage under My Computer.

I just plugged my brothers phone into my laptop and it recognised it perfectly! It appeared in both My Computer and iTunes...

Can anyone help me sync my phone to my laptop please? Thanks guys

Try to go to device manager, uninstall (do not include the software) the Apple Device, Unplug, restart then plug it back and your computer should recognize the device.

Thats the thing.. it doesnt even show in the device manager. There is no Apple Device in the list of USBs at all
