Missing Contacts categories iPhone

Certain fields that I set up in AddressBook on my Mac, such as Spouse, Nickname, Child, etc. do NOT carry over to my iPhones Contacts over MobileMe. It seems those fields do not even exist on the iPhone. WHY? Is there an option somewhere to enable this simple act?
