Lost of data after updating IOS 4 to IOS 5 iPhone 4S

This is quite urgent and needed your expertise to help me out.

I have updated my wife's iphone 4 IOS to IOS 5 yesterday night without me realising that the iTune account was under my name for my iPhone 3gs that i currently using

So happily i have click update IOS 5.1 on her iPhone. This morning, when we woke up, to our horror, her entire contacts, emails, pictures and applications were wipeout and went hysterical cause all the contacts are her business partners.

Is there a way for me to get back those contacts? and do it fast?

Sync the device to the computer it normally syncs with and restore from the most recent backup.

It is synced and backed up to a computer regularly, correct?

Without a backup or an outside source for syncing contacts, like iCloud, Exchange, or GMail, the contacts are gone.
