I posted an earlier post about exchange my iPhone on the account of 8 times, and my end result is a light leakage, and hopeful train of thought that apple will address this issue.
so with everything said lots of people are reporting light leakages on the left side of their iphones... Im fairly certain this is due to a mis glueing of the screen to the chrome bezel...
others are noticing small specks of dust, including myself, that have shown up under their screen.
I think the dust gets in here due to the light leakage... SOOO can people who have dust problems under their screen try something for me? Go into a bathroom, or dark place, turn off the light and put your brightness to full, if you notice on the left side of the screen light leaking through please report back to this forum.
if we get enough people to notice this, and to say something about it, it will help to get apple to fix it, from there we can all exchange our phones for new and improved ones! that is... if they fix it.

I will try this tonight (my phone and my girlfriends phone) and will keep you posted.
Is the light leakage really noticable? Or do I really need to take a close look on the phone? (dark room)

The dust under the screen is not the cause of this slight gap between the screen and bezel. The screen is sealed to the back of the glass with a foam surround. The gasket around the screen would be for water resistance. I would be concerned about that due to the gap.
I have an iPhone taken apart in front of me right now and can confirm the dust theory is not correct. The dust would be due to a poorly fitting foam LCD surround. The light leakage would be to a poorly fitted rubber gasket around the glass or possiby the glass not fitted properly, to try and correct this just get a suction cup stick it to the screen then loosen the 2 screws at the dock and tweak the screen to minimize the gap, you will probably noticethe gasket it thinner on the side without the leakage due to it being more compressed, it should expand once the pressure is relieved.

@ zipidy it depends, on the one before my recent phone, it wasnt too noticable i had to move it around to see it, on my most recent i can see it when the phone is directly in front of me.
@ zammat, i would love to do that, and i believe you as you can confirm the dust theory. However, when un screwing the screws at the bottom of the phone, doesnt that void the warranty, and is it really that easy to just suction cup the screen and move it around once the screws are out?
