My iTunes Remote App isn't working. I meet all of the system requirements, as for "Look for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad Remotes" that isn't an option... it does read "iTunes is not paired with any remotes". I have turned home sharing on in iTunes, and after I log into my iTunes account on the App, it just reads "Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer or Apple TV..."
The best part of all of this is that I use to have a PC, and I never had a problem with the Remote App until I switched to my MacBook Pro. The App did work, the very first time I connected it to my MacBook, but never since.
Is your iPhone connected to wi-fi, and to the same network as your Mac? (i.e. make sure the iPhone is not connected to a guest network if your router provides one)
Both my Mac and iPhone are connected to the same w-fi. No guest network.
You turned Home Sharing ON on your Mac, did you do so on your iPhone? (Settings/ Music/ Home Sharing) Even if enabled, since you've changed computers you may need to turn it OFF and then back on (both in iTunes and on your iPhone).
Yes, Home Sharing is ON on my Mac. Yes, I turned Home Sharing OFF on my iPhone and Mac, and then back on.
I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my iPhone.
