So my iphone 3Gs home button stopped working. I was going to restore it to find out if itll do anything but then it turned off by itself a few times. When i turned my phone back on, it just got stuck on the apple logo restarting screen thing. My mac cant recognize my phone because its not on and i dont have warranty for it anymore...
any advice?

I have recently done some repairs to mine. New screen and battery, so a friend asked me to repair his home button. I took it apart and found that not all iphones have a removeable home button. His was one of these. It is made into the casing in such a way you cant get it out. Any how, I just cleaned off the contacts and it started working fine. I think the problem, is that dust and lint enter the phone through the charging port and messes stuff up. Good luck.
