I really hope someone can answer my question. I have an email account with Sky.com Email, which I think is run by Gmail. I receive emails on my iPhone and iPad without any issues, but the moment I Send/Receive emails with Outlook, all the emails are downloaded onto Outlook as you'd expect, but everything in my inbox on my iPhone or iPad Mail app is removed!
This is a massive issue for me as I need to access my emails when I am out and about at work when I'm in my van (physically cannot take my laptop with me - too cumbersome, would require Wi-Fi anyway).
Can anyone help me with this issue, is there a way to fix this? Or even anyone who has been in the same situation as myself give me any idea if there is actually a solution?
Thanks,
Chris.
Sounds like you have Outlook set up to access it as a POP3 account. By default, POP3 clients download all messages on the server, then delete them from the server.
Set it up as an IMAP account instead.
That's fantastic. Thanks for the response however, can you explain to me:
a) What is IMAP?
b) What is POP3?
c) How do I set up Outlook to work on IMAP?
Thanks a lot.
Chris.
