About a month ago I replaced my iPhone 4 with a 32GB iPhone 4S. I've been noticing that the LED flash is always on. It gives a little illumination to a pitch-black room, but not near the brightness like when you take a photo. It is much dimmer. The brightness seems to vary with the light conditions (I'm not sure if this is true or not). I'll admit that this "feature" is helpful in the dark
. I've asked a few friends who have the iPhone 4S and none have noticed on their own phones.
I've done significant research...Google, Apple Support Communities, and elsewhere and I haven't found out anything. I've perused my settings and the online iPhone 4S manual. I'm wondering if this is normal.
Restore as new. Does the problem continue? If it does not, the issue is with something in your backup. If it does, the issue is hardware related.
