Hello. I have an iPhone 4 I bought from friend for hundred dollars. It has like one of those debugger messages with little white letters all over screen and it won't go farthen than . way to fix this iPhone 4S

You could take it to an Apple retail store genius bar and if it is

beyond hope then an out of warranty will cost $149 for a refurbished iPhone

as long as the iPhone has not been tampered with or hacked/jailbroken

in any way

OR you could ask your "friend" for your $100 back

you could try standard trouble shooting

restart

reset

restore as a new iPhone

So how do I restore it? And can't apple fix any phone? Like why couldn't there be a way to?

Assuming you want Apple to look at iPhone without a charge a good way to

start is to show you have tried the standard troubleshooting as I

suggested.

These are described in the user manual and even under warranty

the genius bar will expect these to have been tried before they spend time

looking at an iPhone as normally these steps fix most issues

However it is up to you

Try this:

Recovery Mode Restore

Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Then hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Then click Restore button of iTunes.

or this:

DFU Mode Restore

Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Then hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then release the Power button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually about 20 seconds of holding Home button. If the screen is black this is DFU Mode. Then click Restore button of iTunes.
