iPhone totally unresponsive

If you plug it into the computer, is it recognized by iTunes?

If it is, try doing a restore. 

If it is not recoginized by the computer or iTunes, it sounds

like you may have an ex-iPhone.  Time to contact Apple support

or get an appointment at a Genius Bar at an Apple Store.

Saw your other post where you said the phone was jailbroken.

forget everthing said above.  You are on your own.

okay so now I got it to power on but itunes said it needed to be restored (plug into itunes screen). So i restored with itunes and as it was booting back up it failed and said it needed to be restored again (this happened like 5 times in a row). then I restored with icloud and it looked like it was working (it was restoring to one of my previous backups). It then failed half way through and now it won't turn on again . Something is very wrong here.
