Hi, my iphone 4 was working fine a couple of days ago, but suddenly i plugged the device to my laptop and after a while i realized it wasnt charging anymore, i have tested on a lot of computers, wall charger, but i got the same issue, even on a mac but no luck.

So finally i turned off and after a while i realized the phone was fully charged, at least i found a temporary solution to this problem but its really anoying to switch off to charge the phone, if you solve this problem please let me know.

I believe it should be a software issue, because the phone actullay charges when its off.

 

I will be really glad if some apple employee answer me about this problem, i would like to know if ios6 comes out with a solution to this issue maybe by a simple firmware upgrade??

different cables, different computers, different wall chargers but no luck, the phone actually charges but only when is switched off.

Did you try different cable!?

It happens that the lose cables jus gets the connectivity done between the computer, and it fails to charge the phone!

Borrow a cable from your friend and check it whether the iPhone charges or not!

Probably the damaged cable might be the issue!

Did you try "Reset All Settings"

Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings

If not, then try restoring the phone.

If it still doesn't solve the problem, get it checked from the Apple Store Iphone not charging anymore

yeah, i tried to restore the phone but since the device is not recognized by itunes im not able to do that, thanks anyway

Get it checked from the Apple Store. Maybe the dock connector might be damaged Iphone not charging anymore
