iPhone iPad touch and not syncing-help

I had to replace my I phone yesterday due to hardware issues, which was fine, I cam home restored all my stuff, but it wouldn't restore my music, I didn't worry as the PC i ahve been using is ver very old and getting really sklow So i decided to change to my laptop. Set up I tunes fine on laptop but I can't transfer my library from my I pod touch, I transfered my purchases but the rest won't transfer. My i phone is also not syncing even if I tell it to it runs through the procedure but doesn't add the music. Any clues? Please

The sync is one way -computer to ipod/iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases.

Ipod/iphone is not a backup device.

Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

Ok that makes sense, thanks any idea why my phone won't sync?

What happens?

Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content from the iphone and replace with content form the new computer. Make sure you have copied everything from the old computer to the new one first.
