iPhone iPad Tether 3G

Do you think it would be possible to tether the iPad to the iPhone? My tether costs for O2 are £9.80 / month, which would probably be cheaper than the option that will be offered on the 3G iPad models.
I was thinking I could get the cheaper WiFi iPad version and connect to 3G sites by tethering to my iPhone.
Thoughts?

It is doubtful that you will be able to but we wont know until Apple actually releases the iPad.
