Reply TopicI have a new iphone 4s I barely used. I cant recall if I ever synced or backed up my iphone. I forgot my password and my phone is showing "iphone is disabled connect ti itunes". Ive followed the instructions to force the phone into recovery mode and restore as a new device however when i do this itunes says " itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode" next I choose ok and the only option i can find is to restore I dont see the option for new device. Ive choosen the recovery mode which takes about a good 30 to 60 minuets. Once complete my iphone still shows "iphone is disabled connect ti itunes".
What can I do to correct this????

#2You have done everything correctly. iPhone 4S has Warranty, make Genius appointment and take iPhone to Apple for resolution of the problem.
Regarding setting up as New Device. This can only be done at end of Restore Process, when iTunes prompts you, if you would like to Set Up as New iPhone, you never got to this step because of Restore Failure.
