I would like to sync/transfer files via bluetooth to and from my mac/iPhone. Also sync the address book. It keeps saying "connection unsuccessful"

iPhones are not designed to file share via bluetooth. If you want to sync information between your Mac and iPhone, this is the way to do it:

If you're Mac is running Lion, you can sync your contacts with iCloud.
