I have an iPhone 3G and it has decreasing battery charge time, but I can live with that.
Recently, when I connect the iPhone to my Mac to sync the phone the battery drains very quickly. Its very odd.
If I charge the iPhone on the wall then it charges normally.
I tried different cables and different USB ports but the results are the same. I even tried another Mac and got the same battery drain.
iPhone fully updated, and both Macs are fully updated with SL and iTunes 9.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks for your time.

Does this occur while your Mac is not asleep or only while it is asleep or in standby mode?
If the latter only, power to the USB ports is asleep also when your Mac is asleep or in standby mode.

No...it occurs when the Mac is up-and-running (not asleep).
