Apple will replace the back glass for $29.00. Replacing it yourself will void any remaining warranty on your device. Don't do it..

So if I get the back and take it to them, would they replace it for that fee and keep my warranty in contact?

No. Bring your phone in to Apple. Apple will provide the back glass. Glass + labor = $29

had the same question, just posted it. Will APPLE use the housing I bring to them? or do they have to use theirs? I want to replace mine with a colored housing..
