iphone 4s wont shut off

Ive read a few of the same thing but no answers. I shut the phone off and it just reboots. I just upgraded to the latest firmware a couple days ago 5.1.1 and then did a full restore to try and solve a battery life issue which also still exists. I wonder if the battery life is tied to this issue somehow. Ive done a full reboot a couple times. Any ideas? If I had my blackberry I could pull the battery out:)

Done a reset too? (hold power + home down until you see the apple logo appearing) Maybe it doesn't solve anything, but it doesn't hurt to try. Otherwise I think you may need to hand in your phone for service.

Yep, started with that and went to a reset then restore. No change. Dis not get it wet either. Thanks.

Clean iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush.

Otherwise do as Kolikok said, make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for Resolution.
