iphone 4S phone issues during calls will connect to third party will switch to FaceTime will Mute or go to Speaker Phone all on it's own wo prompts. Apple Store told me to restore to factory settings which I did. This did not correct it.

Can any one help?  My 4S is having major phone issues.  It will connect to a third party while I'm on the phone with someone, will switch to FaceTime, or will go to Mute or Speaker Phone...all w/o being prompted.  Apple support at the Apple store told me to restore to factory settings which I did.  This did not correct the problem.  Also, the iPhone will not shut off.  The on/off button will not respond.  Help, please and thank you!

Restore as NEW device and use your phone for a day or so WITHOUT ADDING ANY APPS.  Use just what comes with the OS.  If you still have problems, you have faulty hardware and will need to bring your phone in for replacement.
