I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1.  Since yesterday morning, the native contacts app and the native phone app suddenly don't work. When I tap on contacts or phone, I just get a white screen for a few seconds and then it goes back to home screen. This means that i cannot access voicemail at all, and i can only make outgoing calls using Siri. Incoming calls work fine.

 

I have already done a backup and restore on iTunes, but this did not solve or improve the situation.

 

Ideas?

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)

Note: You will not lose any data.
