Iphone 4s latest itunes os updates failed and now iphone stuck on usb cable to itunes screed display

Reply TopicI was updating the latest itunes and os on iphone 4s, this failed, and now the phone continues to display the connect usb cable to itunes screen.
Tried switching off normally, same screen reappears, tried holding the back button and on/off together, same screen keeps reappearing.
Tried disconnectinf the usb cable, from iphone and also the computer, no change, also tried a different usb connection on the computer, no change.
Any suggestions?
