iphone 4 won t backup on my computer but will on other computers

Hi there

My iPhone4 will not sync with my computer, giving me the message "iTunes could not backup the iPhone "xxx..." because the backup session failed."

I have looked at article TS2529 and followed the steps. My iPhone will sync and backup with another computer with the same version of iTunes, so the problem must be with my computer or iTunes.

I have previously synced and backed up fine with this computer, so I suspect there is an issue with corruption of iTunes data files.

Should I re-install iTunes, or is there a way to delete the data for my phone that iTunes holds and try syncing again?
