i have an iphone 4 ios 5.1.1 i am finish with my contract so i am just paying regular rent for the service.now i am going to live in diferent country and i want to take my phone with me.  i was told that apple can unlock the phone by IMEI what information i need to summit to get it unlocked, to use it with any carrier.

You will need to contact your cellular provider to determine if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

Only the carrier can unlock it, not Apple. Check with your carrier if they are willing to do that. Not all of them are willing.
