Hi,
I'm currently trying to figure out if my IPhone4 is able to show a direction in compass format (or similar) from my current location to a set of GPS Coordinates.
I am setting up a freeview reciever box as our country is about to end analogue TV signals and switch over to digital only. I have rigged up a UHF aerial and have it sitting on the window and the TV signal is looking very good.
Before I mount it on the roof I am wanting to know what direction to face it towards.
The coordinates to the freeview broadcasting tower are 46°5′37″S 168°42′41″E. I also have a strong 3G signal at my current location and wifi access.
I've been browsing the App store and haven't found anything that states it gives you a direction from your current loc to a set of GPS coordinates.
Just wondering if you guys have come across anything at all that enables me to do the above on the IPhone4.
Cheers!
Kane
How about: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gps-location/id353474465?mt=8. Looks like it gives you your coordinates and heading.

Nope sorry, Downloaded it and disappointingly does not have the ability to input any data, it only gives current location GPS coordinates in various formats as with everything else i've seen so far
.

I was thinking that if you knew the coordinates of the tower and you knew the coordinates of your location you could plot these on a map and determine the heading you would need to be facing to aim at the tower, and this app looked like it would give you the heading you were facing allowing you to turn until you had the correct heading. But I'm not an engineer so maybe I have this wrong.
