my iphone dropped in water and stopped working. It is only a few months old, will apple replace it for me as it is still within the one year warranty?

The warranty does not cover accidental damage and abuse. You can get an out of warranty replacement for US$149. It will inherit whatever is left of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.
