So my iphone just happened to go into a coma yesterday evening and I tried to turn it back on. I looked down to the cable connector on the bottom to see if there was any water damage. No red indicator. few hours later, I read that if you hold down the opwer and home button at the same time, it will reboot. However, I've held the buttons for MORE than 30 seconds--up to 3 minutes. Not to long ago, I also read that you should plug in the iphone and hold the two buttons, commencing the restoration process thingy. Again, held it down for more than a minute. I even tried it on my aunt's laptop and it still won't work. Either I'm impatient (I listen to music alot so it's like a drug), the battery/hardware failed, or I'm just having back luck with technology. So yeah, any advice or help? Thanks

It sounds like your iPhone was jailbroken. If so, you can't seek help on these forums. Sorry!
But if your iPhone wasn't jailbroken then I suggest you take it to Apple and get a replacement.
