Iphone 3g wont charge on AC adapter only to computer

Never heard of that as major an issue.
Obvious thoughts - try charging on the plug at someone elses house with your chargers and with other peoples - its possible you have a ringmain fault in your mains wiring but its about as likely as all the chargers going faulty at the same time .....;)
Have you all been using a Dock/Music player by any chance ? There are differences in the pic connections between iPods and iPhones which should not make a difference but its possible that a third party product has damaged every dock connector. Long shot I know but there are few possibilities that have this symptom.
Last solution, book an appointment an a Genius Bar and see if they can charge them on their connections. If they cant the they may offer replacements under Applecare if you have it. If they can its your house thats the problem !

cant be the house as my daughters phone wont charge with any of the four power adapters at her moms house. Thats what started this whole thing. Her phone started doing it and then mine started about a week later. Now both of us have the issue. Im kind of stumped as Ive never heard of anything close to this before. What are the odds of two phones having the same issue around the same time. And my phone is about 6 months older than hers. My bought refurb and hers is new.

Our new 3GS phones are about 2 months old. We can't charge the battery with the wall adapter. We get the message that this device does not work with your phone message. That's odd. We tried different outlets also.

Any clues?

I am having the same issue. I have two iphone 3G's and the same thing is happening to both of mine too. It will not work with the power adapters but it will work when plugged into a pc. It has to be a power problem with the adapters. They are not allowing enough voltage.
